Below you will find some pearls of wisdom that may give you pause for reflection. I have given credit where credit is due but some of these snippets of wisdom are of unknown origin.
The Wrecker
I watched them tearing a building downA gang of men in a busy town
With a ho-heave-ho and a lusty yellThey swung a beam and the side wall fell.
I asked the foreman,"Are these men skilled,The men you'd hire if you had to build?"
He gave a laugh and said,"no indeed,Just common labor is all I need.
I can easily wreck in a day or twoWhat builders have taken a year to do".
I thought to myself as I went my way,Which of these roles have I tried to play?
Am I a builder who works with care,Measuring life by the rule and square?
Am I shaping my deeds to a well made planand patiently doing the best I can?
Or am I a wrecker, who walks the towncontent with the labor of tearing down?
Life's Mirror
There are loyal hearts and there are spirits brave,There are souls that are tried and true,
Then give to the world the best you have,And the best will come back to you,
Give love, and love to your life will flow,A strength in your utmost need,
Have faith, and scores of hearts will show,Their faith in your word and deed,
For life is a mirror for king and for slave,It is just what you are and do,
Then give to the world the best you have,And the best will come back to you.

What Is Success ?
It's doing your job as best you can
And being just to your fellow man-
Not just making money, but holding friends
And staying true to your aims and ends,
It's figuring how and learning why,
And looking forward and thinking high;
And dreaming little and doing much;
It's keeping always in closest touch
With what is finest in word and deed;
It's being thorough, but making speed,
It's daring blithely the field of chance
While making of labor a brave romance.
It's going onward in spite of defeat
And fighting staunchly - but keeping sweet;
It's running the risks but playing fair
It's laughing lightly at Dame Despair
It's looking up at the stars above,
And drinking deeply of life and love
It's struggling on with the will to win
But taking losses with a cheerful grin.
It's sharing sorrow and work and mirth
And making better this good old earth
It's serving - striving through strain and stress
It's doing your noblest -- that's success!

Forget It !
If you see a tall fellow ahead of the crowd,
A leader of men, marching fearless and proud
And you know of a tale whose telling aloud
Would cause his proud head to in anguish be bowed,
It's a pretty good plan to forget it.
If you know of a skeleton hidden away
In a chest and guarded and kept from the day
In the dark, and whose showing, whose sudden display
Would cause grief and sorrow and lifelong dismay
It's a pretty good plan to forget it.
If you know of a thing that will darken the joy
Of a man or a woman, a girl or a boy
That will wipe out a smile, or the least way annoy
A fellow or cause any gladness to cloy,
It's a pretty good plan to forget it.
-Jud Mortimer Lewis.
Life is a grindstone, and whether it grinds a man down or polishes him up depends on the stuff he's made of.
He is the happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home.
The reason so many people do not recognize opportunity when they meet it is that it usually goes around wearing overalls and looking like hard work.
May the years ahead bring to you;
enough happiness to keep you sweet;
enough trials to keep you strong;
enough sorrow to keep you human;
enough failure to keep you humble;
enough success to keep you eager;
enough friends to give you comfort;
enough faith and courage in yourself
your business and your country to banish depression;
enough wealth to meet your needs;
enough determination to make each year
a better year than that just closed.
This is our wish for you!!!

You may expect the same results!

Success
Success, the real success, does not depend upon the position you hold but upon how you carry yourself in that position.
